Frequently Asked Questions

What is home staging?

Home staging is when your home is transformed to better appeal to the biggest group of buyers. This is done through decluttering, un-personalizing, painting, and arranging furniture for flow and to best showcase a room. Additionally, carefully selecting decorative accents to help highlights your home's strengths and elevate the home further allows buyers to envision themselves in your home and allow the home to have a great first impression.

Why home staging is important?

Whether the market is hot or not staging can bring a HUGE value to your home! When the market is crazy and homes seem to be selling like hot cakes staging can help you get even more money for your home! If you can make the feel custom and stylized in the photos the buyer is more likely to want to tour your home. Once they are there creating the perfect first impression is key. With a staged home, you will be elevating your space to help appeal to the masses so they can better visualize living there. According to the National Association of Realtors, 83% of buyers found it easier to visualize the property as their own when it was staged. The more you can help people visualize living in your home the more attached they will be and that will increase the value of the home to them. According to research by Home Light over 50% of staged homes increased their value from 1% - 10%.

How much does home staging cost?

Typically home staging can cost from $300 to $4,750 which would cover styling recommendations, decluttering, painting, and new design pieces to help enhance the home. Sometimes a home needs more work like refinishing floors, renting or buying furniture for an empty home, and updating cabinets or lighting. With these extra updates, you can look at spending about $7,000 or more for bigger projects, however, these all increase the speed of selling the home and can increase the value of the home from between 1% and 10%.
