How Staging Improves A Realtor’s Brand

In a world driven by images, social media, and instant gratification, a realtor's portfolio can be what attracts a buyer or seller. Think about properties that get posted on social media or put into advertisements. Most likely those properties, whether selling for five-hundred thousand or for five million, used a stager and created highly successful click bate for the eager home buyers.

Realtors who consistently use a stager are guaranteed that their listings will always look professional and thought through and elevated. This will increase interest when listing homes on MLS and home apps while continuing to create excellent marketing material. Additionally, by consistently using a stager for listings it will show prospective clients that this realtor is willing to go above and beyond to get the most money for their client's home! If you don’t believe me just look at these numbers released by RESA from their 2020 survey, 75% of staged homes sold for 5-23% over list price, who doesn’t want that! Furthermore, according to a 2021 survey by the NAR, 82% of buyer's agents said staging a home made it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home.

Now, if your thinking this technique can only be used for vacant homes then you have been misled. Although it's easy to think a stager is only needed when there is no furniture in the home it is still important if not more important to involve a stager when the home is still occupied. Most people have all the right things to stage their home but the house just needs a professional eye to highlight the best parts of the home and sift through the current furniture and decor. With a stagers keen eye for design and knowledge of how to best layout a home, they can help buyers better envision themselves in the home.

With the world of staging growing and have a larger impact on house sales than ever before don’t be the last realtor to start using one. No one wants to see pictures of a cluttered, poorly laid out, or vacant home, so hire a stager!
